Tryon Creek State Natural AreaSet in forested Tryon Creek Canyon in the southwest part of Portland, Tryon Creek State Natural Area is a 645-acre park containing a tangle of trails, footbridges and a steelhead trout run. There are trails for hikers, cyclists and equestrians. People with disabilities can enjoy the peaceful setting of the fully-accessible Trillium Trail. You can pick up a trail map outside the nature center, which features a large relief map of the park, activities for children, a library, and displays interpreting the park's flora, fauna, and human history. Free guided nature walks are given on Saturday mornings. |
