Giant Springs State Park

In the glorious state of Montana, near to the town of Great Falls, sits Giant Springs State Park. The park’s 675 acres provides for a full day experience in this beautiful historic freshwater springs site. Lewis and Clark were the first to make note of this magnificent place in 1805 as they came through the area on their Corps of Discovery expedition. The Lewis and Clark Interpretive Center is just next door. Giant Springs State Park hosts one of the largest freshwater springs in the world- measuring 156 million gallons of water per day. Visitors can enjoy picnicking near the scenic Missouri River in between exploring the park and learning of its history. Giant Springs is a great place for boating and fishing- don’t miss out on the Giant Springs Trout Hatchery! The visitor center provides information and more about the park and the history of the area. Enjoy this wondrous environment while hiking along the Rivers Edge Trail and be sure to get a view of the nearby Rainbow Falls overlook.
