Frenchtown Pond State Park

Frenchtown Pond State Park is located on Frenchtown Pond in Montana just 15 miles west of Missoula. The park has been developed to fulfill its potential as a recreation area and attracts many visitors from the Frenchtown and Alberton area. Frenchtown Pond State Park is for day use only, but provides endless hours of fun and relaxation. Picnicking, swimming, sunbathing, fishing, and water sports make this park well rounded for visitors from any walk of life. Non-motorized boats are welcomed so get out that inflatable raft, canoe, or kayak and hit the waters! Snorkeling, sailboarding, and other water sports activities add to this park’s incredible array of recreational activities. Frenchtown Pond provides excellent fishing for warm water species including large mouth bass, black bullheads, yellow perch, and pumpkin seeds. The pond is spring-fed and measures 18 feet at its deepest. This is one of the most exciting and beautiful day trip locations available- so make sure to visit when the weather is nice!
