Netul Landing

Netul Landing is located at one end of the new Lewis and Clark River Trail; just 1.5 miles south of Fort Clatsop in Oregon. The Netul River was renamed in the honor of these great explorers after the Corps of Discovery traveled upriver along its wild riverbanks. The launch sets modern day adventurers onto the Corps of Discovery’s path from the Bonneville Dam to the Pacific Ocean. The Lewis and Clark Columbia River Water Trail extends a total of 146 miles, and follows the tributary now known as Lewis and Clark River through its surrounding wilderness. Lined with towering evergreen trees, the gentle ride along the Lewis and Clark River affords rich wildlife observation including sights of bald eagles and river otters. There is a life-sized bronze statue of Sacajawea, the Shoshone Indian woman and fellow traveler of the Corps of Discovery, located here. Parking areas are near to the launch and within walking distance to the Visitor Center at Fort Clatsop as well as the famous Fort-to-Sea Trail.
