Cold Springs National Wildlife Refuge

The Cold Springs National Wildlife Refuge is one of eight refuges comprising the Mid-Columbia National Wildlife Refuge Complex, which spans across 13 counties in Oregon and Washington. The refuge overlays the Cold Springs Reservoir and attracts a variety of wildlife species during various times throughout the year. Visitors to the refuge will find large numbers of Canada geese and mallards, as well as other species of waterfowl, songbirds, and birds. Resident species of deer, elk, coyotes, badger, ring-necked pheasants, California quail, and more also make the refuge home. The primary recreational activity at the refuge is the observation and photographing of wildlife, but there are also opportunities for hiking, biking, horseback riding, boating, fishing and hunting in the area.
