Gallatin National ForestThe 1.8 million acre Gallatin National Forest is located in Montana’s Northern Rockies. The forest is part of the Greater Yellowstone Area, and spans across six mountain ranges and two wilderness areas (Absaroka-Beartooth and Lee Metcalf). The forest is well known for its amazing trout streams, and also includes plenty of native wildlife, such as the grizzly bear, Canada lynx, gray wolf and bald eagle among many others. The beautiful topography and flora add to the spectacular scenery in the area. Recreational activities abound in this expansive forest, headquartered in Bozeman, Montana.
