Fremont Lakes State Recreation AreaFremont Lakes State Recreation Area is one of Nebraska’s most popular vacation spots, featuring around 40 acres of land and almost 300 acres of water in its 20 sandpit lakes. The park is located just three miles west of Fremont in the town of Lincoln. Whether their game is boating, fishing, or water skiing; water sports enthusiasts will have a blast here. When the weather is nice, a beautiful swimming beach is available. A ramp is provided for personal water craft in the designated area, and a handicap accessible fishing pier makes this a great place for everyone! Showers and clean water are provided with camp sites aplenty for those wishing to stay overnight (200 sites with hard-surfaced pads and electrical hook-ups as well as 600 primitive non-pad sites are available). Picnicking under the mature shade trees is quite the treat for when you are ready to take a break from the endless fun available, here.
