West Pollock Recreation AreaAnother great place to visit for fishing and boating along Lake Oahe in Mobridge, SD is West Pollock Recreation Area. Named after a pioneering lay minister, R.Y. Pollock, this park sits along the famous Lewis and Clark Trail. The boat ramp provides easy access to the water and the fish cleaning station is convenient for anglers who have had their catch. Visitors can stay overnight at any one of the 29 electrical hook-up camp sites. Don’t miss out on the nearby Vanderbuilt and Arikara Indian Village National Historical Landmark for a real “old times” experience. The Pollock Nature Trail is a hiking attraction in the area that affords its travelers exercise and wonderful wildlife observation.
