Platte River State Park

Platte River State Park is nestled between the cities of Omaha and Lincoln, NE, and avails 418 acres of natural enrichment and recreation. Swimming, horseback riding, wildlife observation, archery, as well as an arts and crafts center give this park a charming array of activities for its visitors. The nearby Quarry Oaks Championship Golf Course has been noted as one of the best golf courses in the country. The flora and fauna of the eastern hardwood forests, prairie, and Platte River woodlands provide a striking palette to draw from for any bird watcher or wildlife observer. Keep an eye out for flocks of wild turkeys as they mosey through the lodging area! Cabins are available for overnight visits (each with a refrigerator, fire grate or outdoor grill, picnic table, and linens provided). If you are seeking an RV park, great sites are found just a few minutes away at Louisville State Recreation Area or Eugene T. Mahoney State Park. You can even rent a tepee!
